I’ve been very fortunate to have been able to travel to 34 countries in all continents except Oceania. These travels have brought me to Europe, Central Asia, Africa and some incredible Island nations in the Atlantic.
The thing I am the most grateful for about all my travels is to truly appreciate what I have here in PEI. This quote by Bill Bryson summarizes best my thoughts:
“To my mind, the greatest reward and luxury of travel is to be able to experience everyday things as if for the first time, to be in a position in which almost nothing is so familiar it is taken for granted.” – Bill Bryson
To experience another’s culture is to have a deeper understanding of your own. One of the reasons I’m so attached to PEI is that I know how unique, special and incredible it is… in its own right. We have a unique history, our unique culture (or blend of cultures) and a unique land unlike any in the world.
What you’ll find on this page are some of the experiences that have shaped my worldview (litterally) and that have contributed to building the appreciation I have for my current life, family, friends and experiences.
